In the darkest of rainy night
a street lamp found a girl
standing under a nearby tree—
—the rain of cold memories washed her through and through...

So short, but emotional, Neni.
thanks Wanda... :)
Hi, Neni. I like how the line "a street lamp found a girl". That builds the loneliness of that girl for sure.
Nice. :)
love it,
perfect wording and image.

This is so short! To me, it feels more like an opening line for a dramatic story than a poem, and that is definitely NOT a bad thing! :)
beautiful sweet poem.
i feel the first 3 lines build up towards the last line which twists into a powerful climax.
Sad, poignantly beautiful..

I like the street lamp found the girl, too~
Memorable and moody, just like those severe storms of childhood!
Street lamp found a girl: sad and very powerful. Your haiku leaves a strong impression on my mind.
This gave me chills. Not because of the rain, but the memories it flooded me with. I too have many of those memories that haunt me. This is just BEAUTIFUL! I have sent you a friend request on Facebook, I hope you accept!

Thank you, guys... :)
Kellie: Yes, I have approved your friend request. Nice to have you on my friendlist... :)
One of the most beautiful, haunting, harrowing images I've ever seen! It's an archetype. Well done! I sometimes think of it as Dark Alessa (from Silent Hill) who's escaped from Silent Hill (Hell) and from the tyranny of the games and the film to enter the 'real' world. But where does she go now? Who knows of her, or cares?
